Current Courses

The Business Analyst training workshop is the most comprehensive course for new business analyst, it covers the foundations of Software Engineering with an overview on the Rational Unified Process and Agile methodology. After providing the fundamentals of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), the course provides an in-depth analysis of Unified Modeling Language (UML) and use case approach to document functional requirements. The training workshop is designed on the ‘Learn as you work’ model where you are teamed up with fellow participants to work on a mock project designed to run on a real-world simulated environment, where you will be taken through the various phases of the Software Development Life cycle with an emphasis on the role, responsibilities and deliverables of a Business Analyst through each phase.

  • Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite

  • Identify the core areas of a business analyst work
  • Scope the business area of analysis by utilizing the project charter to identify the level and complexity of the business analysis effort
  • Enterprise Analysis, Gap Analysis, Feasibility Analysis, Risk Analysis, Business Analysis, Estimation and Planning
  • Software Development Life Cycle and Role of BA in the SDLC (Waterfall, RUP, Iterative and Agile)
  • Elicit critical requirements using various tools and techniques (High-level Requirements, Functional and Non-functional Requirements), Use elicitation techniques to facilitate requirements gathering and work toward consensus
  • Analyze and structure functional requirements using UML, use cases, user stories & product backlog lists
  • Conduct an effective requirements review to improve the quality of the requirements package
  • Learn modeling techniques, data models, domain models and various UML diagrams (Ex: Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Context Diagram, etc.)
  • Identify five phases of Requirements Analysis and core components necessary to complete a requirements package
  • Recognize and document high-quality requirements
  • Identify techniques and documentation types required for each methodology and project type
  • Verify that requirements are testable and generate testing objectives
  • Business modeling, requirements management, change management & version control of project artifacts
